Another undoubted advantage is that the design does not imply the closing of the palate in the mouth, so addiction to the prosthesis occurs much faster and discomfort during a conversation is reduced to a minimum.
The ability to remove the clasp dentures for thorough cleaning in all hard-to-reach places allows you to maintain their cleanliness and maintain oral hygiene. Such a construction will not allow the appearance of any foci of infection, which may occur in areas that are difficult to access, which are characteristic of artificial limbs that are not removed.
Clasp prosthetics is considered one of most efficient and comfortable compared to other removable designs. It is even used for the treatment of periodontal disease, the restoration of one or more teeth. But such a design can be installed only if you have your own healthy teeth, which act as a support for the skeleton.
Clasp prostheses are somewhat similar in function to other plastic acrylic, however, there are significant differences. The presence of a metal frame on which to attach the plastic base, can significantly reduce its thickness. Artificial teeth are attached to the base itself. All this allows greatly facilitate the prosthesis, reduce the volume of the structure, which makes it more convenient to use and easier addiction. Dentures are distinguished by the type of their fixation on healthy teeth, they are of three types:

Fixing on telescopic crowns
We use it quite rarely, this is due to the complexity of manufacturing such a prosthesis and the high qualification requirements of the dental technician and dentist, as well as availability of special equipmentAfter all, even a small deviation of the technology of manufacturing or using poor quality materials will lead to rather pitiable results.
This design is fixed on the abutment teeth or on implants using double telescopic crowns, while you can even rely on heavily loose teeth.
In our case, this prosthesis is used only with the unexpressed (or insufficiently pronounced) form of the native teeth, when it is not possible to fix another type of clasp prosthesis.
The cost of the clasp dentures
As already written, the price of the byugelnye design depends on many factors:

- From the complexity of the preparation of the jaw to install the prosthesis.

The price of the clasps. Depending on the complexity of the manufacture of the prosthesis and its purpose, klammerny structures are divided into:

Spineal dentures are more complex, they are used for the treatment of periodontitis and for the restoration of strongly loose teeth. The design is a metal arc, which fits tightly to the inner surface of the dentition or individual teeth and will cost you between 45-60 thousand rubles.
Price for micro locks. A single-sided denture with micro-locks of the Bredent type will cost from 40–50 to 60 thousand rubles today. In this case, if necessary, double-sided prosthesis, this price will double. This cost includes the prosthesis itself, the price of locks and the installation of metal-ceramic crowns to which they are attached (two for a single-sided prosthesis and, accordingly, four for the entire oral cavity).
Locks of the type "MK-1" are considered to be better and more durable, but the price for them is higher, their installation will cost you more by 10-15 thousand compared to Bredent.
Price telescopic crowns. Because of its complexity, it is considered the most expensive type of prosthetics and starts from 55–65 thousand rubles.
It is worth remembering that the price includes absolutely all manipulations for the manufacture and fitting, taking impressions and preparing the jaw. The doctor should not charge you extra for this work. For any prosthesis, the clinic should provide a guarantee of at least two years, or even more, that, with quality material, it does not even make up half the life span of the partial denture.
Advantages and disadvantages
Clasp prosthetics today is considered one of the highest quality and effective. Dentures are well fixed on the teeth, help to restore loose, quite practical and have a high aesthetics. They do not need to be removed at night, the construction is lighter and not so massive as compared to plastic ones, but at the same time they are quite easy to maintain and clean, which prevents infections in the oral cavity.
Due to its shape and lightness, such dentures are practically do not change the patient's diction and facilitate the addiction to them, although it is quite long (about three weeks). At the same time, the high-quality materials from which the partial denture is made do not oxidize the oral cavity and eliminate the risk of stomatitis.
The service life is quite high compared to acrylic structures (from 5–7 years) while the possibility of breakage is reduced to a minimum due to the cast metal base.
But they also have drawbacks: in the case of an improper fit, clasps can rub the patient's gums, and if the load is too heavy, cracks can form in the crowns.
And, of course, they have quite high price compared to other plastic prostheses. However, if we take into account all the advantages of the clasp, as well as their increased service life, it is not surprising that today they are considered among the most popular, because the quality corresponds to the price.
